i thought of writing lots of thoughts but the days seem to whiz by so that's why i'm left on the sidewalk of soliloquy again. whatevah.
thought number one: kill bill volume 1 is hollywood homicide.
discuss.
ayoko na yata. daming friends kong type yung film, pero i just can't seem to get the energy to appreciate this tarantado-este, tarantino flick -- or any other flicks of his, for that matter. call it biased, but eh, there's the rub. so there. but o-ren is cool. yeh. maybe volume 2 will change my mind, but i still have to see...
and don't get me started on hollywood homicide. parang ito yung film na, 'dali, puwede na yang script kasi bukas na ang first shooting day at playdate na natin 40 days from now so no need to fuss over details like STORY and PLOTTING!'
hay hollywood. all that glitters is not gold, mostly, er, stainless steel.
which brings me to revolutions.
thought number two: the matrix revolutions is a war film. it sucked. discuss.
one word: chaka.
most chaka dialogue ever: what do you want sabi ng machine chuva, sabi ni neo: peace.
dude, sana nag-flash ka rin ng 'v' sign with your fingers, like totally. waaaah chaka! saka bakit niyo pinatay si---oops, sorry, don't wanna be a spoilsport. pero hindi rin. o sya sige eto na. STOP READING IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS.
bakit nyo pinatay si trinity? okay, fine, tuyot look na siya from reloaded, pero bumalik naman ang glow niya dito sa revolutions. pero hindi pa rin. the sole purpose of her life chuva is to help this man ek with his messianic (tama ba spelling?) mission to be the one or to be neo or to be the neo one. waaaaaw not so very feminist, stand by my man ang drama nya, even if she's more kickass than him, and a better actor, better emoting face, better deliverer of dialogue, better costume (still love that shiny leather trench coat thingie thang, grl!) waah at namatay lang sya sa tentacles ng sentinels... waaah lugi, i want my money back! di man sya namatay in a kickass way! waaah lugi!
which brings me to: bakit nabuhay si niobe? kala ko may-i-type-type sya sa laptop nya sa reloaded tapos *wuft* biglang na-turn off ang power kasi tinira yung logos ship niya eklavu so we assume ded na sya tapos in revolutions here she comes just walking down the street saying 'hello, morpheus.' ngyah! tapos sya ang pinaka-kickass dito sa film, with her piloting technique, grabe kaka-- :)
which brings me to morpheus, who suddenly morphed into being keanu reeves! nahawa sya ng wooden acting, chaka emoting face, crappy dialogue, at sidekick na lang sya ever dito ni niobe. ano ba yun? where was the philosophical thoughts-spitting leader-leader-an nila ek? wow, true to his name, nag-morph talaga sya to keanu. baaaad.
which brings me to: persephone. walang role si ex-malena girl dito kundi ipakita ang gigantic boobs nya. bhakhet? mukha siyang animé fantasy. hello. pero i like the nightclub of the frenchman, ha, parang gay and lesbian babylon! harharhar! or haven't you seen the myriad of guy-guy couples and girl-girl couples in that scene? i kinda enjoyed that heheh. watch it again if you missed it!
haay tama na nga yan. dami pang chika pero the war is over, the war is over, neo did it. wengk wengk. waaaah gusto ko maglaslas. chakaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
now i can't wait for alfonso cuaron's harry potter 3 tuloy. heheh, y tu magician tambien ang drama ditoh heheh. and my favorite new zealander's third installment of the whyisthisliterature tolkien's series.

which brings me to chloe sevigny.
heheh ang layo. wala lang, we watched IF THESE WALLS COULD SPEAK 2 last night, finally! tagal nun no. at tuwang-tuwa ako kay chloe kasi ang cute-cute niyang butch fafa!!!!!! for those who don't remember her, she's the jowa of brandon teena, that character na portray ni hilary swank sa BOYS DON'T CRY film which won her an academy award for best actress. yeba! si chloe yung girlfriend niya dito. anyway, talagang wow! kami kagabi kasi ang galeng galang nyang mag-play ng butch! sobra!! and hey, ganda nung topic ng segment nila kasi 1972 and they set it on the brink of the clash between feminists and lesbian feminists, yung ine-exclude ng feminists yung lesbians kasi iba naman daw ang issues ng lesbians sa feminist. like, helloooo, pero yes, admittedly, this is the biggest glitch of the feminist movement, even here naman eh. oh well. dapat ipalabas nila ito sa isis watch it series. cool din yung una, nakakaiyak at talaga po namang pinipiga ang puso mo, story of lola lesbians na namatay yung isa at pinapa-evacuate yung other ng relatives ng namatay kasi yung bahay na tinirhan nila for 40 years lang naman ay inaari ng legal family. sucks to high heaven, but rings a painful familiar bell and strikes home talaga. argh. yung third, okay sana, i love ellen degeneres' wit as always, pero the episode was marred by the thought na ick, written and directed by anne heche ito. psycholo numero uno. wah. but sharon stone was cool.
hey another film i just got to watch lately is HULK ni ang lee. as usual, ang lee rules!!!!!!!!!!! galing ng film, loved loved loved the editing technique, best i've seen in the last 3 years or so from hollywood editing. galeng! makes you look at the images like you\'re reading comic book panels, creative way of showing two or three sides of one scene all at once. galeng!!!!!!!! the hulk looked real, eric bana didn't. ano ba to, kapatid ni keanu? o kaklase niya sa wooden school of acting? fotah. batchmate din nila si david duchovny i'm sure.
