chapters: redux

NOTE: to give way to certain objections in content and style, i have edited this entry today (28oct), using this new edit feature of the site. yehey way to go, shery! hm, i wonder what feature she'll be developing next? but i digress...

-----

this year is full of chapters. some i started, some i started with my mahal, some i started with my friends, and some with my friends and my mahal. so many chapters. some of them are still works-in-progress, some have ended abruptly or willingly or forcibly or "ginamusly" (bigas anonymous magparamdam!), and some just expired, dying of natural causes.

i don't know where to categorize this chapter we are ending right now with a certain someone we've known for years. but well, chapters end, and this one is doing that.

but it's also good that this chapter is ending, and ours will once again be continuing, the one about me and her, just me and her, again, like before. i never realized how i missed only us in one roof, with no one else to worry about.

i miss just us, and now, it's here again. new pages to fill, continuing the story we hope would never end.

and it's a nice night tonight. :) chapter. next up, verse.

bitin ba? well, live with it. :p read my archives na lang.

to digress again, i don't think i'll edit my entries na lang. kasi maganda rin yun na i documented stream-of-consciousness thoughts at the time i did and with the way i did. makes the work spontaneous, and fun. saka i want this blog naman to have that raw feel, e, so here it is. well, maybe i'll edit a bit, but if i can help it, i won't na lang.

as for the objection, someone just objected to my using the term "beloved" kasi corny na raw, outdated, and scary because of toni morrison's novel. i understand the corny and outdated reason, but i found the morrison novel analogy quite...amusing, really. and i welcomed the criticism. so here it is, mahal. keri na ba ito? or do you prefer another term? magparamdam ka dun sa comment space sa baba, anonymously. :)

lamyuh.

of photos, music files and connections to reality

i'm just chilling out here at home. decided to skip the previous plan with monny because as i found out, the bank now needs a photo id for opening new accounts, in light of the recent bank cases with jose pidal and jose velarde, i guess. but what if i say i am josefa llanes and still give them a fake id and real photo? would they still open me a new account? that remains to be seen, or experimented on... hm...

anyways, i decided to finally fix up this machine of mine here at my desk and make it into a primary music station. since sometimes the other tasks fail, might as well go with the tasks that work. hay mabuhey, ano ba ito... need a new hacker friend for this.

as you know, for my net accounts, i am continuously experimenting with those prepaid cards with funny names like i-tipid, blast, surfmaxx, gas, and now reality. it was just funny when i tried reality last night (first time) that when i was connecting, it said "connecting to reality." haha as if i wasn't connected with reality! and when it was unsuccessful, the usual message pops up, this time it read "disconnected to reality." hahaah i just laughed at the philosophical subtexts and implications of those simple combination of words... hahaha it was so funny. still is.

wengwang nights and all

halata bang wengwang pa ang byuti ko sa tono ng last entry ko! and i forgot to check those darn html tags. ayan tuloy, boldie yung huli. ah ewan!

my baby is still sick. but it's nothing serious. feverish last wednesday and thursday but from friday til now, it's manageable. doc mabs said she'll be alright. it's just the weather, is all. they passed by earlier to borrow our csi season 2 dvdset. so i guess that means we won't be hearing from them for 2 days heheh. marathon-fever!

me, i can't start my marathon fever because of my nek's real fever. i hope she gets well soon. but i was finally able to finish LUCIA EN EL SEXO (SEX AND LUCIA) which is pretty cool. artsy porno, kinda, but i like the way the director treated that. heavy but it flows nicely. lucia is such a pretty girl. and the male bida is a writer pa, comme moi. sabi nga dun sa trailer "a writer looking for material" wow that's me, and the rest of the writer concons! heheh. always out looking for material, and always probing inside, just to see if we got some...

nice film. highly recommended.

we were actually starting to watch BEAUTIFUL THING the other day but again, my nek fell asleep because of the fever. seems promising, and i can't wait to finish that one. cenon also recommended IDENTITY and alas, that suffered the same fate, not to mention i wasn\'t really in the mood for john cusack's indie film acting style these days. maybe later, pag wala nang mapanood.

what i miss watching is QUEER AS FOLK. i hope they will decide to release season 3 by the end of this year. i miss that gang so much -- the liberty avenue gay guys, the suburbian lezzies, everyone! i loaned our season 2 dvdset to cresta, and i hope she's thoroughly enjoying it. yeah, as henry validated, it could get quite addictive. which reminds me -- the other guys are borrowing season 1 na, so i better get it muna from marns kasi i want to borrow some dvds from them, too. pang-swap ko yun.

o sya, medyo dead-ender na ang lola nyo right now. it's a quarter past midnight at the cusp of your past week and my coming week. what are we up to this time?

let's see.

jennifer garner mode logging on... tutut...tutut...

whew. for a while there i thought i forgot the password for accessing this site. which means i won't be suited as a CIA trainee anymore. heheh. still feeling jennifer garner a la ALIAS ang lola mo... :P

i don't want to do a formally informal review of THE RECRUIT here, but i want to gush about it. it's so good! script's so tight! galeng ni shawie! ngyah! :P

it's almost four of my morning here in my part of my country. gosh, how proprietary could i get! and of course, how can i sleep after watching THE RECRUIT? galing nga niya men! as in! al pacino's stil al pacino, and colin farrell could hold his own with the dude, and that bridget girl's pretty pa. forgot where i saw her before. siya ba yung model girlfriend ni mr. big? hm.

back to the film. i am amazed at how fast i could spot the possibilities in this film, kaya siguro excited ako dito, not to mention the adrenalin of that film is sooooo high. as mari said, cloak and dagger-ish! heheh. hi mari! thanks for reading chez moi, mon amie.

i spotted the chip being smuggled using the coffee mug thing sequences ahead of colin. waha talo ko sya! competitive!

what's more exciting, this cia thing or being a csi? wala bang combination of both? i like the espionage thing going on with the cia and fbi, although medyo wengwang nga lang ang mga fbi, with all due respect to clarice sterling my love. kaya lang nga, you got mulder at the other end of that spectrum... ay, baka magalit ang mga die-hard fans diyan heheh. peace!

but in reality nga, there's this docu i watched before sa discovery about this big fbi blunder, yung hinanting nila yung pair of ex-military bank robbers. funny. it was a bloody shootout, and i'm not talking with a london accent here, blokes. the thing is, it took like around 10 cars of them to stop one pickup truck with two guys. hello. they were on a mission and they didn't wear bulletproof vests? and even that time, early '90s ba yun o late 80s, naimbento na ang vest type that can withstand shotguns no, helloo. ilang types nga ba ang vests? three or four, i can't remember. but they could have created more than that now. check out the cool vest bra thing in CHARLIE'S ANGELS. was that true? i wonder... i want one of those, tho i doubt if any perp will target me in that area. siguro yung mga mata muna niya ang tatarget doon, sa laki ba naman ng... but i digress.

i guess it's fun to be both csi and cia. or something cia-ish, because it weirds me out to say 'i wanna be a cia agent' not to mention the tv show depicting them was so frigging boring! hello. star mo ba naman yung billy the love interest ni ally mcbeal no, waaah maglalaslas na lang akoh! thank goddess for shows like sex and the city back then.

la lang. i've always been interested in detective stories, not exactly the crime story stuff that my former MA classmate itchi writes. but something like THE BONE COLLECTOR. now that's cool. forensics and detective work, not to mention my other love starred in it. :) second only to my real love of course, heheh, in case she's reading this. hi nek! :)

it's funny. writing this, i remember way back in high school, my classmate chielo and i were talking about common interests, and one that i remember was forensics. i remembered the term because she had a bag with a brand that says 'forenza' that's why i remembered easily. i remember we were talking about how to get fingerprints, evidence, stuff like that. heck, i even bought a cereal box because of a free fingerprinting toy thing there, similar to what sarah and the gang use when they lift off prints with the adhesive thing. that was so cool. i loved that toy. and then of course, i was a junior detective of sorts. my ninang ofel bought me this workbook thing about being a detective before when i was in grade six, and that was fun. and of course i completed reading the nancy drew and the bobbsey twins way back then. wala lang, seems interesting kasi.

o sya log out ulit. crows are crowing, fan is fanning, and i am... out.

more of this later.
